Jim Henson's Genius Pitch for the Muppet Show

My fascination/obsession with the Muppets continues...

This time I'm impressed by their creator: Jim Henson.

Have you seen the original pitch he made for the Muppet Show?

Isn't that great?!?

Pretty cool how he immediately catches the attention and builds the argument for his show.

And I'm just really glad they bought into what he was selling.

What did you think of Henson's Muppets pitch?

  1. I haven't seen this before -- it IS brilliant! Where would our society be without Jim Henson? I just don't even want to think about that.

  2. So true. I think we're about due for another brilliant creative mind like his. Or can you think of someone who is doing something groundbreaking already?

  3. Hmmm... there's some good entertainment out there, but I don't know about groundbreaking. The 30s had Disney, the 70s had Henson... The 90s (and beyond) has Pixar... I'll have to think about whose really innovating now...

  4. I bet if we ask Damian Dayton, he'd know who is coming up with the new stuff :) That fella is cutting edge!
