Is the Sax Back?

What do Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" and Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" have in common?

Probably a lot, but I'm focusing on the wicked awesome 80's-style sax solos.

    Although I love me some Kenny G the jury is still out for me on the sax solos...I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed!
