RIP Google Reader

When I went to check this morning which of my friends had posted blogs, I was met with a rude awakening.

Why, Google?! Why?!

Here's the story if you want to know more about the history and their reasoning.

So now I have to figure out how I'll follow my blogs.

Any suggestions? Other programs you guys use?

    I know!! Twitter was all ablaze with the outrage last night. :) I've been using the Feedly app on my phone and it's okay - but I want to know what other options we have once Reader is gone. I can't go back to individually checking blogs! :)

      Thanks for the feedly recommendation, Jen! My sis (Miss Megan) posted some other options in the next comment, if you aren't satisfied with feedly.

    I am really sad about this development (lack of development?). I agree with Jen -- I can't go back to checking individual blogs, especially since I follow about 100 of them and some post multiple times a day :P

      Thanks, Meg! I got feedly, and it seems to be a good substitute for Google Reader. Let's hope it doesn't get messed up once Reader is turned off...

    I just converted to Feedly and it is similar enough to what I am used to that I like it. It is an ap on Chrome that I like. Of course I might be disgruntled another day about it. Who knows.

      Thanks for the advice, Steph! So far, I'm liking feedly. We'll see if that continues, but I'm happy with it as of now.
