Beware the DC Demon Squirrels

I started writing this post months ago, when I still lived in the Washington, DC, area.

And it likely would have remained drafts for quite a while, if my sis-in-law's Instagram pic hadn't provided the impetus to finish this blogpost. Thanks, Jordyn!

If you've been to DC, you know what we're talking about.
The Smithsonian brought the first 18 from Canada back in 1902, and thrive in many locations, but I've only personally seen these evil-looking little buggers in our Nation's capital.

They creep me out, so I decided they must be part of a little criminal rodent organization:

SSDCDSS: Secret Society of DC Demon SquirrelS

Catchy, huh? And I like that it's a palindrome.

Maybe I have too much time on my hands, if I can come up with stuff like this...

  1. More squirrels! I've never actually seen one of these, but I'm totally on the lookout now. *Sigh*... I feel like a tourist now...

    1. Oh, you'll know when you see one. Freaky little beasts from the underworld, they are.
