The National Symphony Orchestra performs at the Kennedy Center, and sometimes free tickets are offered on the Colonial listserv. I took advantage of it this time, and made it a date with my friend Tabbi. My roommate Jason was also there on a double date, so we saw them and chatted a bit. The performance was really good. Tabbi and I sat on the front row for the second half, which we have mixed reviews about. It was great to hear exactly what the performers hear, but we were almost too close to watch everything. Plus it's distracting to see the violinists fidgeting or notice the flautist's well-worn shoes. Anyway, we had a good time and enjoyed the wonderful music.
