For the past several years, we've had a friend Christmas party during the week after the actual holiday. We all agree it's much better that way than holding the event before Christmas, because everyone can be more relaxed and just enjoy being together. Plus, we usually have some new toys to play with. We met up at Matt and Megan's new house (yes, I said/typed house, as they sold their condo and bought a house this year), and socialized, ate pizza and holiday treats, had our gift exchange, and played a whole lot of Rock Band. I certainly don't consider myself to be a video game player anymore--though I'll admit I once was--but I could get into Rock Band. Vocals, lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums. It's physical and social, as you can do it along with 3 of your closest friends and all your adoring fans.
